U. of Georgia Suspends Athletes in Rape Investigation
The University of Georgia suspended three athletes from competition in January, pending an investigation into a rape accusation made against them by a female student.
Named as suspects were two basketball players, Tony Cole, a junior guard, and Steve Thomas, a sophomore forward, along with Brandon Williams, a junior defensive back on the football team. None of the men have been arrested or charged, and none returned calls for comment.
