U. of Georgia Plans Appeal of Affirmative-Action Ruling
University of Georgia officials announced last month that they would appeal a federal judge's July ruling that the institution has unconstitutionally used race as a factor in admitting some undergraduates. But the university will stop using the admissions practices at issue until the case is resolved, the officials said.
