U. of Ga. Makes Peace With Foundation
The standoff between the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia Foundation, a private donor group with which the university has long feuded, is over.
In April the university had moved to cut its ties to the foundation. But under a deal struck this month, the foundation will manage the university's $450-million endowment but will cede its role as the primary recipient of gifts to the institution.
The new recipient is the Arch Foundation, which the university created
