U. of Dubuque Plans to Cut Course Offerings
The University of Dubuque plans to cut more than half of its majors, and to eliminate the positions of the professors who teach them.
Jeffrey F. Bullock, Dubuque's president, explained in a letter to the campus last month that cutting 23 of the 37 majors would allow the university to refocus its attention and resources on the 14 remaining programs, in which more than 80 per cent of Dubuque's 755 students study.
