U. of Denver to Start Interviewing All Prospective Students
You wouldn't hire employees without interviewing them, yet most colleges admit students before ever meeting them.
In an effort to get to know its applicants better -- and to choose students who are more likely to stick around -- the University of Denver now requires all applicants to be interviewed by college officials. Although some smaller colleges have long interviewed applicants, officials at Denver say their program is unusual in its scope and complexity.
