U. of Delhi Includes Indian Authors for First Time in English-Literature Courses
In what was described as a step toward "decolonization," India's largest university has included the work of Indian writers in its English-literature courses for the first time in its more-than-100-year history.
The move ended a decade-long debate at the University of Delhi pitting traditionalists against champions of native literature.
