U. of Delaware Receives Large Collection of African-American Art
Paul R. Jones, a retired federal-government worker, spent much of his adult life acquiring a large collection of African-American art. He wasn't about to hand it over to an institution until he was sure it saw the big picture.
"The ideal home," Mr. Jones said in a recent written statement, would use the collection to teach about African-American art in a way that would have "the most possible impact on artists, scholars, and students."
