U. of Cambridge to Open a $30-Million Center for Stem-Cell Research
The University of Cambridge announced last week that it was creating a $30.3-million center devoted to studies of stem cells, the research that has been limited in the United States by restrictions imposed by the Bush administration. The Cambridge Stem Cell Institute will focus on developing treatments for such diseases as diabetes, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's.
