U. of California at San Diego Opens Tech-Oriented College
Classes began last month for the first 285 students enrolled in the University of California at San Diego's sixth college, an arts- and technology-oriented residential college so new that it has not yet been named.
However, some plans for bringing digital technology into the curriculum and dormitories of the college will be delayed because of the weak high-tech economy.
