U. of California Settles Enron-Related Lawsuit
The University of California system's Board of Regents approved a $69-million settlement this month with Bank of America over claims stemming from the university's huge investment losses in the Enron Corporation.
Bank of America is one of many defendants in a class-action lawsuit brought by investors who lost a total of $25-billion after the fall of Enron, an energy company that collapsed under a wave of accounting and related scandals in 2001.
