U. of California Regent Resigns After Being Criticized for Frequent Absences
Haim Saban won't be attending the University of California's Board of Regents meetings anymore.
His absence, however, might not be noticed.
Mr. Saban -- whom Gray Davis, the Democratic former governor, appointed as a university regent in February 2002 -- announced last month that he was resigning from the board for personal reasons.
