U. of California Must Repay $33-Million in Student Fees, Appellate Court Rules
The University of California must pay over $33-million to students who accused it of breach of contract when it raised tuition fees despite an apparent pledge not to do so, a state appellate court has ruled.
In a 3-0 opinion issued on Friday, the California Court of Appeal in San Francisco upheld a lower court's decision, ruling that implied contracts had indeed been formed between the university and the students (
