U. of California Keeps Contract to Run Los Alamos Laboratory
The University of California system will continue to manage Los Alamos National Laboratory for at least the next seven years, under a contract announced last month by the U.S. Energy Department. The decision is crushing news for the University of Texas System, which, joined by Lockheed Martin Corporation, had mounted a rival bid.
