U. of Calif. System Settles Andersen Suit

The University of California system has agreed to accept $40-million to settle its claims against Andersen Worldwide SC, a defendant in the class-action lawsuit brought by investors who were burned in the Enron Corporation's meltdown.

Andersen Worldwide is the international arm of the discredited accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP; both are among the scores of defendants named in the lawsuit.
