U. of Calif. Divests Holdings in Sudan
The University of California has become the latest of several universities that have agreed to divest their holdings in companies that do business with the government of Sudan. The university's Board of Regents voted unanimously this month to divest to protest the Sudanese government's participation in ethnic-based atrocities in the Darfur region of the country.
