U. of Arkansas Reprints Student Calendar to Present Campus Diversity

University of Arkansas administrators liked the official student calendar they had designed -- until they saw it in print and realized that its cover did not feature any minority students.

So the university spent almost $5,000 to reprint the cover of the wire-bound volume.

The university had printed about 7,000 copies of the 1998-99 calendar-planner with the original cover, and about 2,000 were delivered to bookstores on and off
