U. of Alabama at Birmingham Loses Sex-Bias Case
A federal jury has awarded more than $725,000 to a former assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in a sexual-discrimination lawsuit.
Barbara Michael sued the university in 1997, charging that it had discriminated against her in failing to renew her contract in 1995.
