U. of Alabama Officials Criticize Political-Action Group for Birmingham Campus

Supporters of the University of Alabama at Birmingham didn't intend to create a family feud last month, when they announced that they were creating a political-action committee for the college.

But University of Alabama System officials are scolding the founders of the group, saying the upstart PAC could weaken systemwide lobbying efforts.
