Two-Timing Isn't Only for Clarinetists

To the Editor:

"Noted: A Two-Timing Clarinetist" (Short Subjects, The Chronicle, September 7) concerned clarinetists who play two of their instruments at once. It brought to mind a couple of saxophonists who were known for performing the same feat: the jazz great Rahsaan Roland Kirk and the rock musician Jack Lancaster, of the 60s-70s British band Blodwyn Pig.

Not to mention saxaphonist Jeff Coffin of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and the Dave MAtthews Band....
