Tulane's President Is Upbeat but Wants More Federal Help
He says his university will rebound and be key to the recovery of New Orleans
Noting that applications for next fall's freshman class are running ahead of last year's record-setting pace, Tulane University's president, Scott S. Cowen, has predicted that his institution will recover well from its shuttering by Hurricane Katrina, repositioning itself "in a Peace Corps environment" in New Orleans this coming spring.
