Tuition Edges Upward at Private Colleges
Few patterns emerge -- except that few institutions will forgo increases
With much fanfare, Williams College announced last year that for the first time in half a century, it would not raise tuition. The move prompted speculation that other wealthy colleges would follow suit, and that an elite education might prove slightly less a burden on a family's bank account.
