Trisha Brown: Still Defying Gravity and Convention
Trisha Brown, her back turned to the audience, extends her leg outward to the side, slowly and contemplatively. You can't see her face, but you don't need to -- the dancing itself is considered, thoughtful, speculative. Is that my leg? Can I do this? What about this? Her body asks the questions as she takes the viewers through a movement vocabulary of angled, flexed feet, dropping arms, clenched fists, jumps, saunters, and strolls, her long limbs devouring the space as she moves
