Top Fund Raisers Earn High Pay, Study Finds
Administrators who oversee the fund-raising operations of colleges and universities are, financially speaking, fat and happy, according to a new study.
The average salary earned by 625 chief advancement officers who participated in a survey was just below $99,000. Most respondents said they would not be inclined to change jobs -- only one in five said they were looking -- unless they could increase their salary by a third or more.
