Throwing the Book at Them
File this under trademark disputes. The library cooperative that owns the rights to the Dewey decimal system is suing New York's Library Hotel for alleged trademark infringement. Each of the 10 floors of the hotel, which is a block from the New York Public Library's main building, corresponds to one of the 10 major Dewey categories, and each of the luxurious rooms is filled with books representing a still-narrower category.
