Thousands of Students Join Protests Against Possible War With Iraq
Thousands of college students converged here this month to participate in protests opposing a possible U.S. military strike against Iraq.
In a January 18 rally near the Capitol and a subsequent march to the Washington Navy Yard, tens of thousands (or hundreds of thousands, depending on who was counting) of participants listened to speakers and chanted antiwar slogans.
