Thomas Kuhn's Work and Paradigms Lost
To the Editor:
One should remember Thomas Kuhn's remarks on the idea of paradigms and their relation to truth: "We may, to be more precise, have to relinquish the notion, explicit or implicit, that changes of paradigm carry scientists and those who learn from them closer and closer to the truth" ("A Philosopher's Call to End All Paradigms," September 15).
