The Welcome Neighbor
In prickly Cambridge, Mass., good relations clear a path for Lesley U. to grow
Boston's subway system, the T, stops at four stations in Cambridge. One is named for Harvard University, another for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Now a third station, at Porter Square, is likely to be emblazoned with the name of Lesley University. The recognition is an indication of the growing prominence of the university, which until recently was known primarily for its small, liberal-arts college for women.
