The Violent Past of the Armstrong Brothers

To the Editor:

The Armstrong brothers and other members of the New Year's Gang never seemed to grasp the overall contradiction of their tactic of using violence to protest other violence ("Radical Consequences," July 19). More troubling, the brothers express no regret for their actions at all, just some anemic ... remorse that someone happened to be killed.
