The Use of a Taser at U. of Florida
To the Editor:
Your account of the incident concerning Andrew Meyer and Sen. John F. Kerry is undergirded by an assumption that the police acted correctly in stopping Meyer from speaking ("After U. of Florida Incident, Campus Police Debate Whether to Use Tasers to Subdue Students," The Chronicle, October 5). You seem to question only whether or not Tasers should have been used.
