The U. of Oxford Projects Unity After Rejecting Governance Changes
Faculty and staff members of the University of Oxford have voted to reject controversial governance reforms championed by the university's vice chancellor, John Hood.
The proposed changes were defeated in December. They would for the first time have given outsiders a decisive say in running the 900-year-old institution by including a majority of external members on a streamlined version of the university's governing council.
