The Troubled Student and Campus Violence: New Approaches
Connecting Academic 'Silos'
Six months after the carnage at Virginia Tech last year, I began to study what steps colleges have since taken to try to prevent suicide and homicide on campus. Last December, as part of my research, I went to a risk-management conference attended by campus police officers, counseling-center clinicians, and student-affairs professionals from all over the country.
