The Science in Political Science

It’s no secret that political-science predictions of politics have often gone astray. On his blog, the Australian economist Andrew Leigh posts and comments on a paper by the Spanish economist Josep M. Colomer. If only political scientists would follow economists and come up with a few formulas, expressed by mathematical relationships, that could serve as the basis of a deductive model of inquiry.
