A triple homicide haunts a professor who thought he'd already paid for his crime

Paul E. Krueger has two doctorates and one big secret. Or rather, he used to have a secret. Now, a local television news report and the wave of coverage that followed have revealed the past that Mr. Krueger, a professor of work-force development at Pennsylvania State University, kept from his students, professors, and colleagues: In 1965, at age 17, he killed three men near Corpus Christi, Tex., and a year later was sentenced to life in prison.
