The Present and Future of Biomass at Middlebury

It was surprising and disappointing to see "Middlebury College's Biomass Plant" as a heading in a section that began with the words "Truth in Advertising" ("In Search of the Sustainable Campus," The Chronicle, October 20). In the college's press release that announced plans to build the plant, and in the conversations with your reporter, college officials were open about their expectations for the plant and careful to emphasize which of their goals were long
