The Positive Aspects of Students' Online Lives
To the Editor:
Thomas A. Workman's discussion of Internet usage and its impact on students today was a much-needed, well-rounded look at the reasoning behind online social activity ("The Real Impact of Virtual Worlds," The Chronicle Review, September 19). Instead of providing more statistics about the consequences of too much self-disclosure online, Workman has provided us with a new understanding of the potential benefits of online use.
