The Plans of Universitas 21

The comments that follow relate to an important international initiative in e-education that has been reported on in The Chronicle ("5 Unions Urge Caution on Universitas 21's Venture With Thomson," March 2, and Online, March 9). Through no fault of The Chronicle, this reporting has been partial and misleading, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to provide a more informed and balanced account.
