Whether students who were brought illegally to the United States at a young age can attend college and how they're expected to pay for it varies from state to state. Among the states with explicit policies, 12 grant in-state tuition and five deny it to undocumented students; three allow those students to receive state financial aid, and three deny them admission to some or all public colleges.
