The Murder of a Professor
A failed graduate student kills the scholar who gave him a second chance at a Ph.D.
Students at the University of Arkansas here were gathering in Kimpel Hall for John R. Locke's first comparative-literature course of the semester a little after noon on Monday, August 28, when four gunshots rang out from inside Mr. Locke's office downstairs in Room 231.
