The Modern President: Fund Raiser, Cheerleader, Advocate, CEO
A recent report from the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges revealed that college presidents, whose jobs have increasingly drawn comparisons to that of a CEO, receive "uneven guidance, support, and oversight from their governing boards." If this problem is not corrected, the report said, it will "diminish the strength of our colleges and universities and undermine the public's trust in higher education."
