The Merits of an Online Education

As a student who has experienced both the traditional bricks-and-mortar classroom and online learning, I wanted to comment on Employers Often Distrust Online Degrees" (The Chronicle, January 5).

I was surprised by the ignorance and negative attitudes of some of the potential employers in the survey. I believe that most of those employers don't understand distance learning.
