The Legacy of Albert Hofmann

To the Editor:

Susan Brown's "Researchers Explore New Visions for Hallucinogens" (The Chronicle, December 8) was an excellent and well-presented exposition of the serious and long-overdue resurgence of research in this important field. I applaud you for having the courage to print it, in light of the ongoing "just say no to drugs" atmosphere in the United States. I hope it will encourage further research in this area and broader acceptance of that research.
