The Importance of Student Centers
To the Editor:
Michael J. Lewis's essay made some valid points about the architecture of student centers, or college unions ("Forget Classrooms. How Big Is the Atrium in the New Student Center?," The Review, July 11). However, Lewis missed the mission of the union.
College unions are more than buildings; they are the community center or gathering place of the campus. The union provides services and conveniences, but more importantly, it complements the academic experience
