The Ideological Corruption of Scholarly Principles
To listen to the professoriate and the scholarly organizations, one would think that a purge was being readied. The sullen alarm, the feverish visions of witch hunts, the "chill" -- it's the Red Scare all over again. The most protected labor group in our time, tenured faculty members, regards conservative sallies as nothing less than the harbinger of "New McCarthyism."
But however much they raise the specter of persecution, there is a difference. People lost jobs and reputations
