The Ideas of Ayn Rand Still Provoke Both Scorn and Great Enthusiasm
To the Editor:
I was first introduced to Ayn Rand's work in the fall of 1989, when I was a junior studying at the University of York in England ("Ayn Rand Has Finally Caught the Attention of Scholars," April 9). One of my British friends had a copy of Atlas Shrugged sitting on the corner of his desk and allowed me to borrow it. The next evening, I cracked open the book and found myself completely transfixed.
