The History of a Paper on Climate Change

To the Editor:

We write concerning Richard Monastersky's September 5 "Storm Brews Over Global Warming," the focus of which we find particularly troubling. A good deal of the content of the article will mislead readers, especially the statements relating to who said what, and on what basis, about climate change. Such an account does not well serve the public interest. Mr. Monastersky could have done more to promote constructive public dialogue and understanding about the
