The History of College Football

To the Editor:

You mention that visitors to the new National Collegiate Athletic Association's Hall of Champions in Indianapolis will encounter six bronze football players of the early 1900's set to run the flying wedge ("Sidelines," April 14). I doubt seriously that you would have seen football players of the early 1900's running the flying wedge, any more than you would see them today.
