Tyler Cowen insists that every sentence of the abstract of a new National Bureau of Economic Research paper on "Women, Wealth, and Mobility" is interesting.
But even more interesting is the author of the report, the Columbia University economist Lena Edlund, who has also written "Hermaphroditism: What's Not to Like?" and a paper for the Scandinavian Journal of Economics on the television program Sex and the City and how it might explain why unskilled females are attracted to industrialized urban areas.
