The Economic Value of Public Colleges
To the Editor:
Since Will Potter's article on economic-impact studies of public colleges specifically mentions our company, CCBenefits Inc., we feel obliged to provide some technical clarification ("Public Colleges Try to Show Their Value to States, but Not Everyone Is Convinced," May 9). Citing our study of New Jersey community colleges, Mr. Potter reports that "the New Jersey economy gets $18 for every dollar the state spends on the community colleges." This is a correct figure,
