Magner's article on the job market ("Job-Market Blues," April 27) addresses some key issues regarding relatively recent Ph.D.'s as one group of job seekers who "have the blues," but overlooks another group. Also still looking for regular positions and increasingly disillusioned are thousands who got their doctorates earlier, during the 1980's.
