The Departing President of Goddard

Given the past history of Goddard College, it is not surprising that your recent article on our planned leadership transition would portray Barbara Mossberg's stepping down from active service to become president emeritus as a possible sign of conflict ("Another President Quits at Goddard," March 9). It is in the very context of our history, however, that the difference and significance of this transition become apparent.
